Water line replacement

Water Line Replacement in Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC

If you’ve noticed a decrease in water pressure, wet carpet or other flooring in your home or business, an increase in the total of your water bill or wet soft spots forming in your yard when it’s not raining, you may have a leaking or broken water line in need of water line replacement.

Water lines will crack or deteriorate from a variety of unavoidable environmental conditions, and when this happens, water line replacement often becomes a necessity. If you need a new water line in Augusta, Ga., Aiken, S.C. or the surrounding CSRA, Mr. Flush Plumbing is on hand to help.

If your home was built between 1978 and 1995 there is a good chance your builder used a plastic water pipe, polybutylene, that is prone to instant failure and damaging leaks. Poly was used in both overhead and underground installations. Industry experts believe that poly was used in 6 to 10 million homes during this period. Older galvanized steel pipe also has issues because of rust.

Repair of polybutylene and galvanized piping is not recommended. The only real solution to correcting defects is water line replacement.  The home or business must be completely re-piped to eliminate the system totally.

Water lines are often buried in foundations and under landscaping making them difficult to access and inspect. A broken or leaking water line can result in serious property damage without water line replacement.

While complete water re-piping is not inexpensive, it could be considerably less expensive than having a pipe burst and having to replace drywall, flooring such as carpeting or wood flooring, having mold and mildew treatments, replacing damaged contents of the house, and even in extreme cases, structural repairs to the house.

If you think there’s a problem with your water line, call Mr. Flush today. If we determine that your water line is beyond repair, we’ll get moving quickly on a water line replacement.
